Laurier Recreation - Waterloo Campus

Ansley Alumni Field

Ansley Alumni Field is a full size Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) sized soccer pitch and full size World Rugby pitch. Located on the East side of Waterloo campus off King Street North, Ansley Alumni Field is home to a variety of intramural sport leagues, varsity teams including Soccer and Lacrosse, and is available for rental groups.

The turf field features 280 permanent seats, a press box with three separately enclosed rooms for home and visiting team coaches and spotters, and an open concept area for print media, radio broadcasts, webcasting, and game operations staff. The press box also has controls for the Daktronics LED scoreboard, and sound system.

The 4.7 million upgrade was made possible thanks to principal gifts from the Wilfrid Laurier University Student’s Union, Wilfrid Laurier Graduate Students’ Association, and the Wilfrid Laurier Alumni Association. The enhancements increased the footprint of the largest greenspace on Laurier’s Waterloo campus. Work began in June 2022 and was completed by spring 2023.
