Ansley Alumni Field is a full size Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) sized soccer pitch and full size World Rugby pitch. Located on the East side of Waterloo campus off King Street North, Ansley Alumni Field is home to a variety of intramural sport leagues, varsity teams including Soccer and Lacrosse, and is available for rental groups.
The turf field features 280 permanent seats, a press box with three separately enclosed rooms for home and visiting team coaches and spotters, and an open concept area for print media, radio broadcasts, webcasting, and game operations staff. The press box also has controls for the Daktronics LED scoreboard.
A $1 million gift was made by alumnus Peter Ansley (BA '66) in 2024. The field was named Ansley Alumni Field in recognition of this gift and the decades of service from Ansley and his wife Cheri, both long-time supporters of Laurier. The field's new name retains its original reference to Alumni in recognition of the extensive support of the Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association for field renovation recently and in the past. The Wilfrid Laurier Student's Union and the Graduate Student's Association have also provided generous gifts of support.
