Summer Camps

A variety of summer camps are offered at Laurier each year in Waterloo. Learn more about the different camp offerings for Summer 2026 below by expanding and collapsing the accordions. Registration is open to everyone and not limited to families of Laurier staff and/or alumni. Each summer camp runs daily from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with extended hour offerings of 8:00 - 9:00 AM and 4:00 - 5:00 PM provided at an additional fee.

Join us for an exciting summer filled with activities, games, crafts, and themed days that will keep your little hawk entertained! This full-day camp program is offered for kids 5-7 years of age (or turning 5 by end of calendar year). Activities can include themed days, group games, sports, crafts, swimming, rock climbing, and more! We’re excited to offer “Friday Funday” which includes lunch for your camper. Intermediate aged camps will offer a variety of engaging camp activities, games, and themed days while incorporating the fundamentals of sport and movement. Sport and activity sessions will help campers become more confident and competent with the fundamental movement skills based on the skill development stages of the LTAD (long-term athlete development model) while promoting teamwork and cooperation. Activities can include themed days, group games, sports such as basketball, soccer, and football, crafts, swimming, rock climbing, and more! This is for campers that love to move and have fun but enjoy more than just sports. We will offer a fun and active camp experience for those that love to move and stay engaged through activities, games, crafts and more! This camp can have some sport introductions but will focus more on co-operative play, building confidence and connections. Activities can include rock climbing, scavenger hunts, swimming, crafts, yoga and more! We also have “Friday Funday” which includes pizza lunch, and freezies at the end of the day. Camp includes: T-shirt, Midas Photo, Friday Pizza Lunch & More!

Our multi-sport aged campers will be part of a fun camp experience with a focus on sport activities and games. The camp emphasizes fun, skill development, sportsmanship, and cooperative team spirit. Sports can include: football, track and field, soccer, baseball, basketball, floor hockey, frisbee, group games, swimming, rock climbing and MORE! Camp includes: T-shirt, Midas Photo, Friday Lunch & More!

Making its return for two weeks this summer, “She’s Got Game” will participate in a variety of sports throughout the week where they will have the opportunity to build confidence in sport. Our goal is to foster a life-long love of sport for our female athletes attending this unique camp offering. This camp will be led by female students and athletes who have a love for sport and leadership. Campers will also have the chance to meet some local empowering women from the community who share a passion for sports! Join us for an exciting re-designed Golden Hawk Leader-In-Training experience! All LIT sessions are 2 weeks in length.
Week 1- The Leader-In-Training program offers individuals a unique experience, as they develop leadership and teamwork skills through fun, interactive activities. The LIT program is designed to introduce the fundamentals of leadership and support the building of skills that will support success in everyday life as well as future aspirations and goals. The week will feature an introduction to First Aid and CPR training.
Week 2 - Will see your LIT involved with our multi-sport camps in a volunteer capacity, working alongside one of our trained camp counselors. LIT’s will have the chance to apply their skills and work hand-on with children of their preferred age group.
Camp includes hours towards high school volunteer hours, Volunteer T-shirt, Midas Photo, Friday Lunch (both weeks) & More!

The Jr. Lifeguard and Swim Camp has been designed for swimmers* to work on developing and improving swim skills such as endurance and stroke technique while also learning about lifesaving skills and knowledge. Campers will also get an introduction to competitive swimming skills and what it takes to be a lifeguard! Campers will participate in a variety of in-pool and dry-land activities that relate to lifesaving and camp fun! Camp includes: T-shirt, Midas Photo, Lifesaving Skills Training, Friday Lunch & More! *Prerequisite: Children 9-12 who can swim a minimum of 50 meters and tread water for 2 minutes.

This program focuses on developing basic skills and technical abilities in a fun, supportive environment. Campers will build a strong basketball foundation, improve their skills, and learn the fundamentals of the game, catering to various ages and skill levels.

Basketball Recreation Camp Recreational Stream includes 5 staff per 45 campers (1:9)
Activities cater to various ages and are delivered and selected for stage-appropriate learning.
Campers will participate in recreational swimming 2 times per week.
Each week also features Friday Funday, which includes a pizza lunch and a freezie or cold treat.
Camp hours are 9am to 4pm with extended care available from 8am - 9am and 4pm - 5pm.
The Laurier Boys Basketball Summer Camp provides young athletes with the chance to improve their individual skills, team concept and spirit in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Each player is given individualized attention with a maximum player to coach ratio of 10:1. Participants are grouped in divisions based on age, skill and playing ability which allows players to learn about team chemistry and game development.
Each week also features Friday Funday, which includes a pizza lunch and a freezie or cold treat.
Camp hours are 9am to 4pm with extended care available from 8am - 9am and 4pm - 5pm.

Join the Wilfrid Laurier Men's Basketball team and coaching staff for a week of Co-Ed Elite Basketball Camp. The camp is designed with the goal in mind of enhancing the athlete’s work ethic, skill development and basketball IQ. Skills and drills are developed to engage athletes in game play breakdown on the offensive and defensive end of the court. This High-performance Coed Camp is for higher-level athletes looking for a challenge.
The curriculum will focus on the in-depth fundamentals of the game: footwork, shooting, finishing, passing, and ball handling.
Our 1:5 athletes-to-coach ratio will ensure the quality of the training and allows for a detailed-oriented coaching philosophy.
Camp hours are 9am to 4pm with extended care available from 8am - 9am and 4pm - 5pm.
This camp offers an exciting partnership with the Laurier varsity soccer team! Learn the basics of soccer skills in a safe fun atmosphere while participating in age and skill appropriate groupings. This recreational soccer camp will offer the ability to build on the fundamentals of the sport, and improve basic game skills – all while incorporating some fun aspects of camp such as co-operative games, swimming and rock climbing! The Laurier Football High School Camp will provide student athletes (aged 13-19) with an opportunity to improve their skills & increase their understanding of the game of football in a fun and challenging environment. The camp will also allow talented players to be scouted by the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks coaching staff.
