  • Baskets will count as 2 or 3 points depending on where the ball was released from:
    • 2-point baskets are shots released from a player’s hand while their feet touched the floor last within the 3-point field goal line

  • Each team will be permitted one 30 second timeout per half and one 30 second overtime during overtime. These stop the clock and are non-transferable
  • Timeouts may only be called when there is a stoppage in play (i.e., dead ball). In the last 2 minutes, timeouts may be called directly after a basket is made (i.e., before the inbound)
  • Substitutions can only occur during a stoppage in play (i.e., dead ball) and must be acknowledged by the referee

  • FIBA violations apply (i.e., dribbling, travelling, backcourt violation, goaltending, offensive 3 in the key, half court violation etc.)
  • FIBA fouls apply (i.e., personal foul, technical foul, etc.) with some alterations to penalties

    • A technical foul will constitute two foul shots by the opposition and retain possession of the ball. Each technical will count against the total team fouls per half and individual personal fouls.

  • Free throws are rewarded on personal shooting fouls
  • Teams enter double bonus after 10 team fouls per half
  • In the last 2 minutes of a game where the point differential is 10-points or less, two fouls will result in the opposing team entering double bonus
  • Free throw procedure: 3 defensive and 2 offensive players line up surrounding the larger key. Only players surrounding the key are permitted to play the ball off the release. The shooter and players beyond the 3-point line must play off the rim.
