WATERLOO, Ont. – The Department of Athletics and Recreation will be supporting the Wellness Centre and Wellness Education's Thrive Week from October 24 to 28.
Thrive is a weeklong series of free events run by different departments across campus that aims to build and support positive mental health and student wellbeing on campus.
The goal of Thrive Week is "to improve mental health literacy: the understanding of how to obtain and maintain positive mental health with healthy habits and self-care skills" while also fostering a caring, supportive community and giving students the resources to be proactive in their wellness. Mental health is health, and while 'thriving' may look different for everyone, the Wellness Centre and Thrive Week aims to help students find what works for them.
